The Dayton Fire Department hosts several fun events throughout the year. Mark your calendars for upcoming events and plan to attend with your neighbors and friends!
In order to keep our community safe and healthy during this unprecedented time, the 2020 Dayton Firefighter Dance, scheduled for April 25, has been cancelled. All tickets purchased in advance for the event will be honored at the next Firefighter Dance. As this is our only fundraiser each year, the financial impact of the cancellation will be significant. The many items which have been already been donated are appreciated and we are developing a way to offer them to the public. Stay tuned for more information…
As always, we greatly appreciate the support of our entire community as we work together with other First Responders to serve and care for those in need during this difficult and unpredictable time.
Twice a year, the DFD holds a Physical Agility Test at Station 1. This test is for prospective firefighters. All 7 elements are designed to be relevant fire-fighting maneuvers and passing this test in less than 6 minutes and 30 seconds is the first required step towards joining our department. Taking the test does not constitute a commitment for any participant. Joining us for a physical ability test night is a great way to meet current members of the department and have questions answered. Click HERE for the date of the next PAT.
The Dayton Fire Department celebrates Fire Prevention Week by holding our Open House on the opening Sunday. Our Open House celebrations provide fun for the whole family including food, interactive displays, fire demonstrations, bounce houses, tours of fire trucks, police cars, North Memorial AirCare helicopters and ambulance.
The next Open House is scheduled for October 4, 2020.
