Parks & Recreation

There are a number of parks throughout the City. These parks provide facilities for sports, recreation, and relaxation. The facilities include playground equipment, shelters, grills, benches, ball fields, and open grass area. Below is a list of park names and locations:

Central Park and Brianna Scurry Park

Central Park and Brianna Scurry Soccer Field, off of South Diamond Lake Road, is a big area with soccer fields, ball fields, skating rink, parking lot, and plenty of mowed grass area.

Cloquet Overlook Park

Cloquet Overlook park, on Dayton River Road, has walking trails, benches and picnic tables, grills, children’s playground equipment, and a viewing area overlooking the Mississippi River.

Diamond Lake Diamonds Park

This park features youth ball field.

Donahue Dells Park

This park has children’s playground equipment and a pond.

Goodin Park

Goodin Park, on Dayton River Road, has a path down to the Mississippi River.

Hayden Hills Park

McNeil Park

McNeil Park, in the historic Village, has a ball field, electronic score board, stadium lighting, picnic tables, disc golf putting basket and children’s playground equipment.

Old Orchards Park

Riversbend Park

Riversbend Park, parking lot found at the end of 141st Ave N, has a ball field, ample green space and Children’s playground equipment with a zip-line!

River Hills Park

Park features a zip line, playground equipment, half basketball court, picnic areas, shelters, pollinator garden and looped walking trail.  The park also benefits from an underpass access to Elsie Stephens Park & Cloquet Island Overlook Park.  The underpass is located on the north end of the trail.

Elsie Stephens Park

The 1st phase is near completion which includes a pergola, paved seating area, performance amphitheater w/ electric service, limestone terracing and seating, steps to a river view platform, lighting within the park and landscaping.
 

Sue McLean Park

Sue McLean Park, in the historic village, has great views of the river.  It has a pavilion with picnic tables.
 

Sundance Woods Park

The park features a zip-line, climbers, net structures, slides, expression swing, benches, shelter, picnic tables, half basketball court and a youth ball field. A temporary ice rink is installed in the winter.

 

Wildwood Springs Park
