PLANNING COMMISSION OPENING

The Planning Commission consists of five residents appointed by the City Council to 3-year terms  (this appointment expires on June 30, 2026).  The Commission administers the Comprehensive Plan, Zoning and Subdivision ordinances.  The Commission conducts Public Hearings and provides recommendations to the City Council.  It is the City Council who may approve or deny land use applications.  Planning Commission meetings are held on the first Thursday of the month at 6:30 PM.  This is a 5-10 hour per month commitment including reading staff reports, attending Planning Commission meetings and occasional work sessions.
