The Dayton Police Department has added Embedded Social Worker, Jess Thurston, to the team. Jess is in the office one day a week. In addition to her duties, assisting and following up with calls, Jess would like to have free drop-in sessions. These sessions will be the third Wednesday of every month! Jess is available to assist with connecting community members to area resources.
All are welcome at the drop-in sessions. No appointment is needed. Assistance may be provided for several concerns, including mental health, substance use, homelessness or housing insecurity, food insecurity, financial insecurity, job insecurity, child or parenting, older adults/aging.
Please visit the drop-in session at the Dayton Police Department located at 13700 Zanzibar Lane N, the third Wednesday of each month between 3 p.m. – 5 p.m.
