The Diamond Lake Improvement Association has contracted to treat Curly Leaf Pondweed (CLP), an Aquatic Invasive Species in Diamond Lake in 2024.  Diamond Lake Improvement Association has requested from the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources to the Diamond Lake Improvement Association a waiver of the requirement that the Association obtain the signatures of approval of owners of lakeshore property.  Instead the Diamond Lake Improvement Association will notify alternate property owners of the treatment through alternate forms. This notice is one form that the Diamond Lake Improvement Association is using to notify property owners. Other forms may include but are not limited to notification through the associations email list, City App, annual newsletter and or meeting.

With regard to the treatment for this year, 2024:

  • The proposed date for treatment:  April 1st through June 15, 2024
  • The target species for the treatment: Curly Left Pondweed
  • The method of control or product being used: EPA and MDA registered aquatic herbicides, such as but not limited to: Flumi, Diquat dibromide
