The City of Dayton is hosting its Annual Clean-up Day on May 4th, 2024 for Dayton residents. The location of this event is in the Central Park parking lot which is adjacent to City Hall from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Cash or check only please.  Please make checks payable to the “City of Dayton”.  See below for a list of accepted materials.

 

 

Accepted Materials:

Non-Commercial Household Appliances: $10/per item
Water Softeners, Water Heater & Air Conditioner: $20/per item
Demolition: $25/per load
Fluorescent Bulbs: $1/per item
TV/Monitors: $30-$55/per item depending on size
Electronics: $5 and up
Passenger Car Tires: $10/per item
Passenger Truck Tires: $10/per item
Propane Tanks: $5-$10/per item
Carpet with or without pad: $10 & up per item
Gas/Ammonia Refrigerator under 4’: $150/per item
Gas/Ammonia Refrigerator over 4’: $300/per item
Couches/Chairs/Recliners/Hide-a-beds: $25-$30/per item
Mattresses & Box Springs: $30/per item

Commercial loads, paint, household recycling or hazardous waste will not be accepted. Hazardous waste includes items such as oil filters, herbicide, pesticide, paints, solvents, fuel and any unidentified liquids, powders, or solids. The containers these items are stored in are also considered hazardous waste. Utilize the drop off facility for recycling and household hazardous waste located at 8100 Jefferson Hwy. in Brooklyn Park.
