2024 Road Projects
Mill & Overlay Project
Hennepin County will be resurfacing Dayton River Road (CR-12), between Brockton Lane (CR-13) and French Lake Road (Champlin), and 129th Avenue North (CR-121), between Pineview Lane North and Valley Forge Lane North (Champlin). New pavement markings will be applied as part of the project and will include some modified striping configurations at some larger intersections, including North Diamond Lake Road (CR-144), Pineview Lane North, and Balsam Lane North. The work is expected to take place after Independence Day. Road closures, to thru traffic, are expected while the work is being completed. The specific timing and duration of the work will be determined once the project is contracted.
West French Lake Improvements
The remaining work on West French Lake Road is expected to be complete this Spring/Summer by Graco’s contractor. Completion of this work will allow continuous use of the roadway between the recently completed Dayton Parkway extension and Brockton Lane North (CR-13).
Elsie Stephens Turn Lane
Turn lanes at the main access to Elsie Stephens Park will be constructed this Spring/Summer. It is anticipated work will be completed prior to Independence Day (this project is being coordinated with Hennepin County’s 2024 Mill & Overlay Improvements project). It is anticipated these improvements can be completed under traffic; however, periodic slow downs and/or rerouting may be required.
Thicket Hills & 152nd Ave Overlay Project
The City of Dayton has identified 2 roads for resurfacing 152nd Avenue North, East of Brockton Lane (CR-13), and Thicket Hills Lane North, West of Lawndale Lane North (West of 149th Avenue North) This work will be completed in Spring/Summer of this year.
